![]() ![]() Note that this guide only covers player character mods and not monsters. But it should hopefully get you a bit further down the road of the character mod creator. This guide doesn't aim to be a complete guide covering everything there is to know about modding the game, partially because tDD is still in active development as of writing and things might change between me writing this and you reading it, partially because I don't know everything yet. or if it can't.I've seen more Steam Community threads asking about how to get going with making a character mod for The Darkest Dungeon than I can be bothered to count, and since I'm vaguely interested in modding for myself, couldn't find a good guide as a starting point, and had to mess around with the game files with little to no prior guidance under my belt, I figured I might as well belch whatever I found out into a publicly accessible form such as a Steam Guide in order to somewhat benefit people and mildly boost my ego in the process. ![]() I'm still confused and do not know whether it is possible to re-order and select which mod is prioritized and is loaded first. I do know you can also select which mods you can activate for your save game in the game somehow, and you do not need a mod manager program to do this, because it can be done in game. ![]() I do know that in Darkest Dungeon you have the option whether or not to activate mods for your save game. and don't want to have to download one if it can be avoided. can that even be done? I'm not using a mod manager program. I don't want to de-activate mods, but I don't know how to do things like change mod order/prioritization. Is there a way to somehow prevent this? Or at least make it so that a specific mod will have its effects prioritized over the others? I only use Steam to launch Darkest Dungeon, and I have mods activated for my save game. Some of them must conflict with eachother, because some of them have their effects over-riding other mods. ![]()
